To wish my husband wasn’t quite so nice!

People knocked on our door asking for money to fix their bike.
DH said no but I’ll get my puncture repair kit.
They then ask him for food so I put together some non perishables. Breakfast cereal and soup etc.
Now he’s walking to Aldi with them to buy them groceries!
My big issue is he’s not taken his phone so he can’t contact me/help if he needs it.

I’m sure these people are lovely but it’s making me anxious!

Love that OP saying her DH is kind (even though she posted to say it made her anxious) is seen as a stealth boast. That's quite sad really.

My DH is kind and thoughtful. I'm happy to say it, I'm not being boastful or smug - it's where the bar should be set FFS! Would that more men were kind (and we expected this to be the default) lots of people would be much happier - and half of MN threads could disappear.
