2 year old throwing wooden trains and other hard things at other children. mum was outraged when asked to supervise her kid (“but yours are much older, so it doesn’t matter”). mine are 2 and 6, 6 year old now has a bruise on his forehead from a wooden train.....

If you’re younger than her, chuck a train at her head.

sadly i’m not....just don’t get this attitude. a minority of parents ruin it for the others

I absolutely hate this. Same as toy snatching then the mum gets pissy that you kid wouldn't give them the toy. Can you tell it's one of my biggest pet peeve 😂

InTheHeatofLisbon · 06/05/2019 15:45

I tend to find that threatening to repeat their child's behaviour towards mine, only me towards them gets a reaction.

A shitload of judgemental looks too, but as long as they're gone and have kept their kids from hurting mine I don't give a shiny shite.

I only ever followed through once. When she repeatedly refused to stop her child throwing juice over DS. Soggy twat wasn't happy one bit! But her kid packed it in pretty quickly.

This is brilliant. Definitely do this 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I knew a parent at playgroup whos kids behaved like this.
She just sat there smiling as if everything was perfect.

The kids got worse as they got older and turned into bullies all because she couldnt be bothered to get off her arse and parent her kids.

When they were teanagers I spoke to the mum about them bullying my son....she said if they are going to be accused of something they havent done then they may as well do it....

I said I tell you what if thats the way you want to do things then let them carry on.....but next time they bother my son I will rip your f* head off.....funny how it never happened again.

Happened to us at Edinburgh Zoo, OH quietly asked older children to stop pushing the younger children out of the way. He asked them two or three times, very quietly, their breeders were on their phones, watching the situation.

The fourth time he quietly walked over to them and yelled at them, it got the attention of the whole Zoo I think. They even out their phones down, How very dare he yell at their dear children? Twaauumatise them!
Because you're allowing them to be nasty bullies and you're too lazy to be a parent.

Get your 6-year-old to chuck a train at her head.

sadly i’m not...

Technicalities don’t matter. You can both injure her with a hard toy and insult her by saying you assumed she was older than you in one hit (sorry, terrible pun).

YANBU to be annoyed. Only last week I had to remove my 1yo from a tiny softplay area because parents were letting kids that looked about 7 run straight through the middle and hurdle jump the soft toys, narrowly missing the babies who were playing.

I had to take a table (small side table but still) off a kid who was about 7 who decided to forward flip into the baby area with it when my DD was about 1. Nearly hit my DD too!
Parents no where to be seen. Was mildly disappointed shocked she didn’t injure herself. Might have learnt not to do stuff like that.
Also had to stop a kid hitting DD after the parent just ignored it (they definitely saw). Just hovered my hand in front of their face till they backed off. Tried saying no first but clearly they didn’t know what that meant.
