DP and DIY

Every time, every single time he does anything DIY related, it ends in swearing and ranting and him being in a foul mood for the rest of the day. Anyone else or is it just mine??? So AIBU to take myself and DT's out for a minimum for 5/6 hours when he mentions he is going to do anything in the house?!

It sounds like he hates it my dh is the same so I just do it myself

Not unusual I think! Choices: work round it and keep out of the way; learn how to do it yourself instead; get a handyman in.

Pay someone.

Does he hate it? Or is he rubbish at it? Or both?

YANBU to go out when he’s doing it.
