To ask Aldi nappy users if you have leak since the redesign?

I'm wondering if I'm the only person to find this.
We've used Aldi nappies non stop for 5.5years (2 children) and we've never had problems with leaking.
A few weeks back they vanished from the shelves of our local aldi for a few weeks, and when they reappeared they were a new design. The now have these 3 channel things inside which are supposed to distribute the wee evenly.
Except since the redesign, they leak every other night. And they leak from the back of the legs. Where before DD had a wee during the night, the wetness stayed at the front and in the nappy. Now the wetness is spread to the back and leaks out be back of the legs.
Has anyone else had this issue since the redesign?
I've now run out of patience and I'm fed up with washing all the bedding and pj's every morning so I need an alternative.
And can anyone suggest an alternative nappy that doesn't have the channel thingies? (lidl do, we've tried them and they leaked every night)

We've found this too. DS was absolutely fine until the redesign he leaks out the back of his nappy. Have yet to find a decent alternative though.

I am pleasantly surprised with tesco ones (if that is any help) flo and Fred I think.
Had to change as I found the Aldi ones went quite small.

Amanduh · 05/05/2019 19:40

Nope. No problems here. Lidl still the best though!

WooYa · 05/05/2019 19:41

I use Tesco ones too... never had any problems with them

beautifullama · 05/05/2019 19:45

😲 I didn't know they had redesigned them but yes ours started leaking a couple of weeks back and coming undone in the night.

Yoursilentface · 05/05/2019 19:47

Omg, I didn't realise they have been redesigned. In the last few weeks ds leaks everytime he has a big wee. I'm constantly changing his vests because its wet.

I find the tesco ones fine for little ones but not toddlers. Lidl don't hold enough wee for ds.

I'm not sure where to go now. Hopefully they will change the back.

Whilst I'd don't wish leaky nappies on anyone I do feel slightly better that others have found the same.
Ugh, why do they have to go and mess with something that worked perfectly well as it was!!

Tesco not really an option for us sadly, we're miles from the nearest one.
We have lidl, aldi, sainsburys and waitrose nearby and I pass an asda every couple pf weeks so could stock up there.

We've never had any problems with Asda nappies.

Valkarie · 05/05/2019 20:26

Asda are good. I use one size up from normal for night time. I alternate between asda and Aldi, but have only used the smaller day size since redesign as I get through them quicker than the night ones.

TheVelvetOnion · 05/05/2019 20:51

Yeah I noticed that too. My boy only lasts 3 hours in the Aldi ones before he needs changed. I used to use the Tesco Loves Baby ones before they changed supplier and rebranded to Fred & Flo, for me they are shockingly bad quality now. I've used Asda for the last 5 months and he lasts all night (13 hours) with no problems at all.

December2019 · 05/05/2019 20:53

Yep I'm having the same problems with the Aldi nappies, it's always on his right side sort of on his bum area that's wet every morning, the nappies are cheap but it's costing me a fortune to wash bedding & vests and very morning

Famalamaringwrong · 05/05/2019 20:55

Switch to asda.

tinysnickersaremyfavourite · 05/05/2019 21:10

Looking like I might need to try asda then!
