Have gone from 34 ff to 34 GG and not fitting these bra well anymore - since the menopause, which in all other respects is bloody marvellous. But I am fed up with them - they are a nice ok shape - not exactly pinky and perky but they never have been and for big boobs they are pretty. I am 5 foot 10 so proportionally they do't look as big as they sound. But I can't run easily, and clothes are a pain - never been able to wear shirts that fit and the boobs burst out the front. It does not seem to be an op that is done much in the UK. Is done more in US and cheaper - but finding surgeons there, flying there, getting insured etc is rather daunting. Eastern Europe is apparently good and much cheaper. My friend had a face lift there and looked great. I have found "theharleyclinic" in the uk who got back to me in about 30 secs after I sent the email enquiry and am due to see them soon for a chat. Anyone have any useful intell?

Sounds like you need a better fitting bra.

Breast tissue is glandular tissue as opposed to fat, so the effect is likely to be minimal if you have normal body mass. Why would you not consider the traditional surgery? They can take more tissue as well as lifting the breast and bringing the nipple up. The pound is quite weak at the moment even against Eastern European currency (złoty/euro), so prices are pretty much comparable I would say. Perhaps, a procedure might be 1k cheaper, is that really worth the pain of going abroad?

Totally endorse a breast reduction though, changed my life. I had mine done around 7 years ago.

Day 6 post breast reduction and lipo to underarm region. No complaints.

OK brilliant, good to hear! Just lipo knitclubchatter or did you have actual proper surgery type thing? Where dod you have it and how much was it? I agree Claire, I am more inclined to stay in UK where surgeons are vetted well - also follow up care. Apparently post meno women's breast are fattier rather than glandular - who will do badly in in op that takes fat. Mine have exploded post meno - just like my grandma's, who rested her tea cup on hers.

All doctors in Europe tend to follow standardised guidelines, so I wouldn’t be worried about the standard of care in private facilities across Europe.1 in 3 doctors in the UK trained abroad anyway :) However, with regards to follow-up, it’s much more convenient to have somewhere close by. My op was funded by the NHS, but I was young and had a normal BMI, since funding for electives is sparse now I can imagine indications for BR on the NHS have become even stricter. Perhaps worth checking if your GP will refer you though ?
