I'll try and keep this brief. DDs father (my ex) left whilst I was still in hospital after having had her, he's not on the birth certificate (his choice) and after much reluctance he started paying the minimum CM just after she turned 1. DD is now 3 almost 4 and ex hasn't seen her since she was born. He has no desire to see her and I haven't heard from him since he agreed to pay the CM calculated minimum. I Met my DP when DD was 7 months, DD calls my DP daddy DPs name and has done since she could talk. I'm at a bit of a crossroads atm, I have always told DD that she has another daddy that helped make her. She's now beginning to ask why she can't see that daddy. I've tried saying she will one day but that doesn't seem to satisfy her, if I say that then the "but when can I see that daddy" starts. I have no idea how to approach this and I really really don't want to upset DD. I suppose my AIBU is AIBU to just stick to the one day answer or come up with something else?
