To ring in sick tomorrow?

Been suffering with anaemia for years. Last year my ferritin level was 11 and now it’s 9. I feel like absolute shit. Started back on iron yesterday. GP poked me in the eye and said I have pallor of the eyes?! And told me I should be off work. I don’t get paid for being off sick so declined a sick note. Went into work this morning and kept having vacant moments, can’t think what the fuck I’m supposed to be doing. I probably could scrape through tomorrow as I’m off Friday, sat, sun and mon but WIBU to call in sick tomorrow?

Take the day off. Although it depends on your job - my manager is decent and would let me muddle through but if you need to be on the ball...

Mine has come out at 12. I wonder some days how I function. I haven't slept a full night in years, been diagnosed with something shitty that I have to have an operation for. The wait to even speak to the relevant consultant is 18 weeks (don't worry I've only suffered for nearly 4 years) and I still have to work full time, look after a toddler and cope with an impending house move. Argh!

Sorry but that was cathartic. I think for you, take some time to rest. I had a nap Sunday afternoon as I was walking around like a zombie and felt much better after.

How many iron tablets are you taking? My doctor said 2 a day but aim for 3 if possible. I've only just started so I'm guessing there's some crappy side effect due!
