... to hate the horrible foot in the ad at the top of the page?

One of the ads at the top of the AIBU page is an ad for some kind of treatment for back pain, and it shows a horrible foot with horrible toes and horrible nails, in some kind of foot-shaped foam object. It's stomach-turning! Does anyone else see it, and AIBU to be revolted by it and not want to see it?

Is it the case that they sell the advertising space and dont have much control over the contents?

Urgh I’m glad my phone blocks such things. Feet are nasty as it is, no one needs to see that.

It’s awful. I wish it would go away. I’m not sure who they are targeting on MN with that advert.

If the advertiser knew how much their ad was grossing us out, they might get a better foot model to photograph - because no one will buy their product as it is.

I doubt it’s a product, it’s probably one of those “YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE THIS!!!* websites where they dripfeed over as many pages as they can so as to expose you to as many paid-for ads as possible.

I hate this advertising so much it’s not just the foot toes and nails look grubby the foam looks really manky.

It's certainly not selling itself (whatever it is!).

Mind you, I feel like I'm being haunted by a certain brand of gin as I can't get away from it (>>>> right now). Not helped by living relatively local to the company so it's everywhere. AND IT DOESN'T EVEN TASTE THAT NICE!
