Help me loose weight- please!

Okay, apologies for the length, I don’t want to drip feed. So I know there has been several weight loss threads the last few days but I have a slightly different problem.

I’m 38 years old, I’ve always been around 9st and a size 8-12 with big boobs. Almost 3 years ago I was referred to the psychiatrist with what the GP thought was depression, several antidepressants later and I’m so high, they concluded it was bipolar. I was then put on antipsychotics. Within a few months I gained over 3 stone and went up to a size 18.

Now I’m off antipsychotics but am on lithium. I’m now a size 16, can fit in some size 14’s, but I tend to wear what fits rather than what the label says, so still have some 18’s too. But losing weight just hasn’t happened as quickly as it went on.

Please don’t shout because I KNOW my diet is VERY poor, but here’s what I have eaten in the last week, and is fairly typical, (I drink about 3-4 litres of water a day):-

Monday- 2 sweetclems
Tuesday- nothing
Wednesday- approx 8 mouthfuls of curry (chicken, onion, mushroom) and rice
Thursday- nothing
Friday- nothing
Saturday- 1 piece of chicken (drumstick)
Sunday- 5 sweetclems, activia prune yoghurt
Monday- activia prune yoghurt, 2 sweetclems.

The problem is I don’t feel hungry. I can’t eat breakfast never have, and when working full time, I would be training most of the day, and dealing with voice mails, emails and calls during lunch so would only eat when I got home with Exdp around 9pm.

Exercise wise I do very little at the moment, I had an accident in which I injured my back, thankfully the last injections I had appears to have done something for then moment. So I’m going to start swimming twice a week with dp, and hopefully the gym a few times- but it’s seeing how it goes at the moment and that I’m not pushing myself to fast.

So I know everyone talks about how many calories to eat etc, and I guess I have that little devil on my shoulder saying ‘if you aren’t losing weight on what little you eat, if you start eating three meals a day, you’ll be huge!’ And I know that’s not logical either, because my body is probably just grabbing what it can not knowing where the next meal is coming from.

So what do I eat, how many calories should I aim for etc? I have about 3 stone comfortably to loose. Help me MN!
