It basically tells me the name it's discoverable by, but I can't find a name on my airpods, I need to find other bluetooth devices discoverable to my laptop. But I can't find how to do that!

You look for the airpods on the laptop I think, not the other way around

AuldJosey · 30/04/2019 23:07

Well I know that! That's my point! My laptop can't seem to find any discoverable devices - or I can't figure out how to

Do you have your AirPods connected to your phone? If so unlink them so your laptop will be able to find them. It works like that for us anyway.

Wouldn't have thought apple allows any of its devices to work on android or Microsoft.

yunalis · 01/05/2019 19:07

Are you sure you made the airpods discoverable? You don't just open the case, you have to press the button.

yunalis · 01/05/2019 19:08

And they of course will pair with Windows and Android Confused

AuldJosey · 01/05/2019 19:11

My phone is Android and the phone can see the airpods.

My laptop doesn't seem to have anywhere that you can see discoverable items.

There's no way of making the airpods discoverable. They're just tiny headphones.

My laptop can't see ANY bluetooth devices! There's literally no way of finding them. Bluetooth is turned on, but there's no way to see devices to pair with.

With a case with a button...

AuldJosey · 01/05/2019 19:14

My phone can see the airpods.
My laptop can't see anything - there doesn't seem to be an option to find devices!

Put your phone in pairing mode and look for that.
