To WhatsApp neighbour about loud TV through wall (it's mounted behind our heads when on sofa)

It's GOT season. Neighbour whacks it up, its really unsettling. I think they have family round each week. Neighbours are married, the female is mid twenties doesn't seem to care about impact on others at times. I never bother messaging her she never replies but her husband who seems more mature does. I could whatsapp asking very nicely about if they could turn it down that'd be appreciated, but am I being over sensitive? It's so very loud. FIL of hours who stays maybe a handful of times is going deafmso when he's over he whacks up our TV, but it's not on the joining wall and definitely not mounted. We don't hear it every night. But occasionally on weekends, and at Xmas, unfortunately they like gun and explosion type things! Craving a detached!!!!!

For the sake of an hour or so once a week for a few weeks is it really worth the aggro? Hardly sound like neighbours from hell!

You can try. But the problem is that if it is mounted on the wall on the other side of where you sit, it may genuinely not be on that loud for you to hear it. I don't think you're being over sensitive but be prepared that your WhatsApp may not have much effect.

If it’s literally just GOT I’d leave it

Shrewbie · 29/04/2019 22:22

Yeah true but it pisses me off so bad as we take so much care with noise

If they are watching tonight's game of thrones they sure as hell won't be checking whatsapp!!

Shrewbie · 29/04/2019 22:24

Lol I know but they'd see it later. I probably won't but just was wondering if I need to reign myself in.

Sometimes TV or music comes through louder underneath or behind. I discovered this with a PC speaker amp I had, years ago. It most likely sounds normal on their side.

I would let them know but probably during the daytime rather than while they're watching, because they'll probably respond better then.

Is it really that loud?
