Parking one!

I have to drive to pick DD up from school, (we live 2 miles away from it) which means having to park to actually go get her.

I'm always considerate. I dont block any driveways, I dont block any roads, I dont park on single or double yellows, on corners...etc

I always park legally and safely.

Today i'm parked in a sideroad, last car before double yellows and a corner onto the main drag which has 2 primary schools on it.

This woman parked behind me. She obviously lives in the house on the corner, but they have a double driveway so have plenty of space to park outside her house.. only she wants to park where I am...

So she blocked me in, and refused to move.

I actually had to threaten to call the Police on her.. pointed out that i'm
a) legally parked on a public highway in a car with tax, insurance & MOT.
b) She's parked on a corner, on double yellow lines and is being aggressive by blocking me in and refusing to move.

She grumbled a bit but finally backed off enough for me to drive away.

I GET that its irritating, I live by a school myself, and pickup/drop off times are a nightmare, but I just park further down the road and bring the car up later.. but she had no need to be annoyed, she'd got a bloody double driveway she could have parked in!

She’s probably crap at parking.

I also live near a school and i understand it's annoying when you can't park near your house but i have no more right to the bit of road outside my house than anyone else does. She was a dick.
