I have had a small amount both time (5 glasses whole pg maybe) at special occasions and pre finding out i was PG. Ive looked into quite a few studies too.

I also try and not have caffeine

Chollie2012 you'll be fine, at that stage the umbilical cord hasn't even formed so baby wont be getting anything x

DS was conceived on an all inclusive holiday in August - so I drank many many cocktails to start, then nothing for a while, some Prosecco at Christmas, a cider on New Year’s Eve and a glass of red that was left over from cooking a recipe sometime in Feb. I doubt the odd drink matters, but I wouldn’t have drank regularly.

PooWillyBumBum · 13/08/2019 16:13

Nope, not worth any risk. I also don’t drink any tea or coffee. It’s only a few months.

JanewaysBun, Thankyou.

Only once, at about 8 months, I had a whole pint of proper bitter shandy at a village fete on a beautiful afternoon. It was bloody fantastic. Even better were the outraged stares and tutting mutterings from the disapproving onlookers as I balanced my pint on my belly...

Not with my first two pregnancies. Was actively trying to conceive, I avoided alcohol and caffeine.

I was not aware of my third pregnancy until about eight weeks along. I consumed several glasses of wine before finding out. Normal and healthy pregnancy.

Omega369 · 13/08/2019 16:22

None. I'm usually a big drinker and am not the sort to just have one drink - I wouldn't feel it's effects so what's the point? All risk and no benefit!

Abouttimemum · 13/08/2019 16:26

I didn’t have any at all because I don’t see the point, and it’s really not worth it. But then I don’t drink much anyway so it didn’t bother me. I actually enjoyed being able to go on nights out and not drink without people giving it the old ‘awww what you not drinking for you boring old fart?’ crap. I enjoy myself more when I’m not drunk. Sorry about that haha.
