I’ve only worked part time since having my kids; currently 25 hours a week; but the opportunity has come up to go full time.
I love my job and I think I’d like to do it. It doesn’t pay amazingly so it’s not about the money, it’s about me.
Will I just make all our lives more stressful and complicated?? I can do some of the hours in the evenings/weekends if I need to; it’s really flexible like that. My husband works full time an hour away and he’s our main wage earner by a long shot so school runs and childcare are on me not for any sexist reasons; just practical ones. Our two boys are 11 and 7 so one about to go up to secondary.
