Was looking on colleagues Facebook page and he had the friend request bit greyed out. I accidentally hit that button and it came up as 'You cannot add John Woodley as a friend'. Will he receive a notification that I tried adding him?

His real name isn't John Woodley by the way, just using that as an example

No, don’t worry.

Thank you. Would rather he didn't know I was on his page.

You don't have to be on someone's page to be able to send them a friend request.
If you go on your own profile and look at find friends, it will suggest friends of friends and show the button for you to send a request.
I also have friend suggestions bs on my timeline. As I work in a large office, they are often people from work, some of which I know, but others I don't.

I have accidentally sent a friends request to someone. Didn't know until they accepted, but it as someone I know so no harm done.

Does this all mean that you can't add him as a friend even if you wanted to?

PinkGlitter123 · 28/04/2019 22:13

It was in grey so I assume not. Just worried he would still get notified.
