To expect Asda to actually deliver my entire shopping list?

Each month, I do a delivery order of heavy/tinned/bottled items. Then top up on the fresh stuff myself when needed.

Today, I've received one packet of cat food. I ordered 6. Are you really telling me that they only have one packet of cat food in stock in the whole store?

AIBU to be annoyed that I now have to do another delivery next week, as I can't carry them home myself?

And we'll ignore the substitution of vegetarian sausages with actual sausages

@PlantPotParrot that was my point with the cat food!

Not experienced subs but last week they missed out a lot of items and then my washing up liquid leaked over a lot of fruit & veg. I wasn’t even refunded half of the money I was meant to get back. Grrr they shouldn’t be allowed to charge for items they know full well they’re not going to give you. I’m too fed up to challenge them but they owe me a fair bit. A lot of my food was ruined and none of the meats I ordered were available so survived on sandwiches + pasta for a week!

I do a regular online Asda order for my parents. Substitutions tend to be rare and relatively logical. Friendly and helpful drivers.

I think Ive just jinxed tomorrow’s delivery haven’t I? Hmm

That’s what I was about to say @funnelfanjo! How come I’ve never had a problem with the website or filtering each item “low to high”, or adding items up to midnight? I’ve never had a late or none-delivery. Substitute items always acknowledged in advance by email and refunded on the doorstep if not suitable. Substitute items of a higher value or bigger version of the same product etc. I hope I haven’t jinxed it as well!

I gave up on Asda 10 years ago. Every single week there was some nonsense with them that I could do without. They once substituted size 4 nappies with newborn size and the miserable bastard of a driver was most put out that I refused them.

The worst thing they did though was send me 2kg of ham when I'd ordered 0.2kg. I couldn't get it through to customer services that I hadn't ordered 2kg of ham and wasn't paying for it. They argued that as I'd received it, I had to pay for it despite my order clearly stating I'd requested 0.2kg.

I use Ocado now. Very rarely are there substitutions and there are never any missing items. Their delivery people are helpful and friendly too.
