Am I being over the top or is he plain stupid?

Me and ex have split up, we are still living together until the house sells, today we decided it would be nice for our dc to have a day out with her mummy and daddy, I have never really left her so we are going to slowly start to go out with her dad alone in the future but here's where I'm not sure if I'm being silly or if he is plain stupid!!
We drove down a tight road and not sure why but a group of young lads call ex a cunt, ex then stops in the middle of the road and waited to see if they wanted to come closer to say it now that he had stopped - he didn't think to lock the doors or any thing, now I'm sure he should have just ignored them and carried on driving, with the way the world is now they could have easily had a knife on them, I worry that he doesn't think of our baby and I don't think today he was being a responsible adult, there was quite a few of these lads, I'm now worrying about him taking dc out alone or am I being ridiculous?

Why did they call him a cunt?

loveheart27 · 27/04/2019 23:36

I'm not entirely sure if I'm honest, I think it could have been because he didn't let them cross maybe, can't think of any other reason xx

Lock doors and keep driving. Doing what he did is putting DC,at risk.

Has he got a bad rep where you live? I’d be concerned about child’s safety too. Can you keep visits at your home/relatives home for a while so you know she’s in a safe place? His child’s safety should also be his priority so he won’t have a problem with it if he’s a good father and not a regular trouble maker to put your mind at ease

No no bad rep, to be honest I think it was just kids being kids but still worrying kids these days do carry knifes you hear it in the news a lot now, he waited for about a minute, which felt like such a long time, Thankyou for your replies I think I will ask him to come and see dd instead of taking her out, he doesn't understand why I'm so annoyed at his stupidity!! Xx
