Toddler with sore arm after regular fall. Not crying but not keen on much weight bearing. No bruising no swelling that I can see . Just the weight bear issue. Serious enough for a+e or more sounding like a sprain?

No obvious deformity or pain when touching either

I would call 111 to get some advice

Bambamber · 26/04/2019 22:06

I tend to be cautious when it comes to children and would probably phone 111 as we are going into the weekend. They may make you an appointment to see an out of hours Dr without having to go to a+e

Personally I'd see how they are in the morning. If it's no better then I'd go to a&e. I'd avoid going tonight if at all possible!

My daughter fractured her leg from a regular fall, no swelling or bruising just couldn't weight bear, may be best to take her to be checked

Possibly collar bone or shoulder damage?

Oh I hope it’s not serious like that , is asleep now and no outward signs at all. A+E a long drive away and usually swamped out. 4hour wait last time too.
