IYO, how much pocket money is reasonable for a 16, almost 17 year old? Blush

It depends on what they are expected to use it on I guess. 16yo DD only gets $50 a month (around 30 pounds?) "pocket money", but she has all expenses covered. She would usually also have a few hundred dollars in her bank account from birthday or gift money. At the beginning of school holidays I give her some money to cover cinema tickets, going out with friends etc. but if she is doing something special I would pay.

She is expected to help around the house which she does happily and although I know a part time job has lots of benefits I would prefer she focuses on school.

She is "lucky last" in our house though.

£100 plus extra £40 for ironing DHs shirts plus £40 for lunches.
Phone paid for.
