To ask if you wear Carhartt jeans...can you help me understand their weird sizing?!

I am only posting here for traffic.

I have seen a pair on ebay that I want but investigation into their sizing has led to misery! I can't find out how it all works and I've had emails with Carthartt (nor am I a fool).

In short 'Carhartt W "Pierce Pants" boyfriend fit size 30,' - would this be around a usual 12?

No idea of the brand, but Gap and other jeans (Topshop etc) works on numerical bands.

I'm a 6-8 so wear a 26 inch waist if that helps? When I was an 8-10 I wore a 27.

Size 30 is usually about a 12, but as you well know, the actual size of those jeans compared to your arse is something that can only be determined by trying them on and unless you can get to a shop selling Carhartt to try on jeans of the same style and a similar age, there is no way to be certain as to whether they will fit.

I would only buy them if they were cheap as if the seller doesn't accept returns I would have a chance of reselling them and getting most of my money back.
