...shouldn't be so bloody horrible? I'm quite sure everyone can give a different opinion without being nasty.

Who does that help? No one. And unless you want to help, why comment unless you enjoy hurting others? If that's the case maybe YOU need some help. Of the professional kind.

I'm almost certain no I've speaks to others like that in real life... unless they have a very lonely one.

People ask for advice because they have a problem, whether you agree or not.

Rant over.

There 2 sides to this though.

Yes some people are just simply nasty. Same as in real life.

However there are quite a few posters that theough around phrases like 'oh op I am sorry people have piled on you' or 'what happened to women supporting other women?'.

I am taking in cases where there is not a pile on or the person posting is display poor behaviours/judgement and people are telling them that, without being nasty.

Yes, some people on here are nasty. But there are some posters who like to claim people are nasty when they are simply disagreeing. Both equally annoying.

As I said some people need a chill pill... But then again some people are very narrow minded... And other I think they need more love in their lives!

It is the internet, people lose their inhibitions due to anonymity.

It does, however, surprise me the cheerleading for some downright nasty posters.

TeddybearBaby · 26/04/2019 06:18

I agree and also assume they’re unhappy / angry people cos why feel like you want to unkind otherwise 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pugwash1 · 26/04/2019 06:24

Missing the point of the thread entirely (sorry OP) but have always wondered what the yellow and red circle thing is. Is that a biscuit and if so why are they given?

Rafabella8 · 26/04/2019 06:42

Completely and utterly agree OP. It also saddens me that, presumably, adults post the most awful language. I'm not precious in any respect, but recent threads where mothers have used horrific names for their children really disturbed me. Real low life, low intellect talk, quickly validated and justified as 'harmless venting'. Really?

NewMum19344567 · 26/04/2019 06:49

I sometimes spend ages writing then delete everything as I think a rude comment won't get a OP to listen. You can't say 'your abusive', you have to try to get them to understand that they are wrong without offending them, it's so hard I usually end up not commenting as it's not a skill I have!

(or even banning) posters who are being deliberately cruel

Yes - totally agree.

I posted here once about something that was worrying me in RL about someone else.

Their friend (never found out who) saw it, told friend (who I knew did not come on MN) and the friendship was effectively over.

So I NC a lot now Hmm
