Posting for traffic - sorry!

I’ve got a song in my head and I have no idea what it is.

The annoying thing is I don’t know any of the lyrics - I just have (what I think is) the main part of the tune, and have no idea how to identify it.

I think it’s a fairly recent song and maybe it’s been used on an advert, but I can’t think which one (maybe McDonalds or KFC?)

The best way I can describe the bit of the song in my head is that it’s played on some synths or something and sounds quite upbeat and summery, and the rhythm is something like: Doo doo doo do-do-do-do-do-do, doo doo doo do-do-do-do-do-do.

I thought it might be something by Macklemore maybe, but just checked on Spotify and none of their songs seem to be like this.

Could anyone help??

When I read your first post with all the 'doo doo doo' I just thought of The Simpson's for some reason and now the theme song is stuck in my head 🙈

I hope you figure out the song, I'm so curious!!

absolutequeen · 25/04/2019 23:48

Sorry Lima, has anyone suggested Mr Saxobeat

LizB62A · 25/04/2019 23:52

Have you tried the Contour search on Musipedia?
www.musipedia.org/melodic_contour.html

It's not great but maybe it will help.

There used to be a much better website for identifying music by just saying if the next note is up/down/the same, but I can't find it....

Folf · 25/04/2019 23:53

not the premier inn advert is it?

Folf · 25/04/2019 23:54

Fiveletters · 26/04/2019 00:02

Tangofandango · 26/04/2019 00:08

Is it Do I Love You by Frank Wilson? It's a Northern Soul track and was used on the Happy Egg advert

winnerwinnerchristmasdinner · 26/04/2019 00:09

Is it cheerleader? By Omi?

LimaLemur · 26/04/2019 00:10

I don’t think so Tango - sorry! The bit I’m trying to find (and that I tried to sing on the recording just now) is a saxophone solo - that’s the bit I’d really be interested in finding.
