Posting for traffic - sorry!

I’ve got a song in my head and I have no idea what it is.

The annoying thing is I don’t know any of the lyrics - I just have (what I think is) the main part of the tune, and have no idea how to identify it.

I think it’s a fairly recent song and maybe it’s been used on an advert, but I can’t think which one (maybe McDonalds or KFC?)

The best way I can describe the bit of the song in my head is that it’s played on some synths or something and sounds quite upbeat and summery, and the rhythm is something like: Doo doo doo do-do-do-do-do-do, doo doo doo do-do-do-do-do-do.

I thought it might be something by Macklemore maybe, but just checked on Spotify and none of their songs seem to be like this.

Could anyone help??

Is it the sing from the iTunes(iPhone?) as, I can't get that out of my head and have added it to my Deezer playlist 'come along' by Cosmo Sheldrake

Gingernaut · 25/04/2019 19:11

If it's the latest KFC ad, it's the theme from The Godfather.

kitkat463 · 25/04/2019 19:11

Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vegas?

Kneehighinshit · 25/04/2019 19:12

It’s not Nevermind by Denis Loyd is it? It’s in a new BMW ad.

Drove me crackers until I googled it.

But that’s old.......like me!!

BasilFaulty · 25/04/2019 19:23

If you download SoundHound, you can hum what you do know down the phone into the app and it should recognise it

LimaLemur · 25/04/2019 19:25

Sorry Kneehigh it’s not the McDonalds advert either!

Thanks so much for all of your help so far, everyone! (I promise I’m not a troll who’s hellbent on making your evening as annoying as possible by leading you on a musical wild goose chase!!!)

Illy603 · 25/04/2019 19:31

Haha, your description is fantastic Grin

The only fairly recent song I can think of with “dooo doo doo” anything in it is MEDUZA- Piece of your heart.

It’s an absolute tune but probably not the one that’s driving you nuts, ha!

BrilliantYou · 25/04/2019 19:31

MolyHolyGuacamole · 25/04/2019 19:31

www.tvadmusic.co.uk/tag/mcdonalds/ is it on here?

Binglebong · 25/04/2019 19:37

Close your eyes and start humming the song. Try to get the exact sound in your head but don't force it. What imagery comes into your head?
