Looking to book our first holiday abroad but I have no idea where to go! I haven't been abroad since I was a toddler. It would just be DS (8) and I. Preferably somewhere warm and sunny end of June/beginning of July.
I don't want to just stay on the resort - would like to have somewhere with a pool, friends for DS etc but can still go and explore cool places. Confused between package holiday or booking everything separately. We both love wildlife, being outdoors, sun, sea, went to London last year and really enjoyed the museums/beautiful architecture, love historical buildings (as long as still interesting enough for DS), castles, history etc. Basically quite easy going and happy to try most things once, although I am a bit of a fussy eater!
Budget would be £1500 to £2000. I've been looking online for days and I have absolutely no idea where to go! AIBU to ask for help please
