Overweight from about age 7. Still overweight now.

DramaAlpaca · 25/04/2019 14:48

I was skinny, but almost all children were in the 60s & 70s.

managedmis · 25/04/2019 14:49

Chubby.

Not chubby anymore.

usernotfound0000 · 25/04/2019 14:51

I was a skinny child, until I hit puberty and I've struggled with my weight pretty much since then. DD1 is the same build I was as a child so I'm trying to teach her a healthy attitude to diet and exercise, which I never had, so that she doesn't have the same issues as me.

PlinkPlink · 25/04/2019 14:51

Late 80s child.
Skinny but healthy and voracious appetite.

Went through a few years of depression and being overweight (by 30lbs at the end) from about 2007 till 2015.

Then I got my act together and worked out I couldn't get away with all the crap I used to eat anymore and needed to exercise 😂

Now slim again, borderline athletic.

Megan2018 · 25/04/2019 14:53

Really skinny as a young child and teen, then average until mid 30's.
Currently 41 and pg - I fear I will forever now be on the wrong side of fat.

funinthesun19 · 25/04/2019 14:53

I was slim but healthy. Then when I was about 16 I became too skinny due to over exercising and under eating. I finished my childhood very unhappy Sad

allfurcoatnoknickers · 25/04/2019 14:54

Very overweight child - my parents always forced me to clear my plate and have three meals and two snacks every day. I was punished if I refused food and didn't clear my plate.

I'm a slim adult now, but I struggle to stay thin, because I have no concept of when to stop eating. I'm rarely full of satisfied.

potatopeelings · 25/04/2019 14:57

Like a rake. 7 stone and 5'7" when I was 12.
Just made that way not any more though

littlepooch · 25/04/2019 14:57

Overweight. Still overweight now, I have battled with my weight all my life. I've been fat, thin and everything in between.

I'm not quite sure why as my mother is a food obsessed size 6 who has dieted all her life. I guess she applied the same logic to me and that's why I love treats etc so much as I wasn't allowed them due to being big.

I'm trying so hard to break the cycle with my own children now by everything in moderation and making nothing a forbidden treat.

Eliza9919 · 25/04/2019 14:59

I was bone skinny, we all were, despite proper feeding & vitamins etc. I got fat at about 13 when I started going out with my friends and drinking etc.

Lozz22 · 25/04/2019 15:12

Only weighed 16lbs at a year old and 2.5 stone at 5 years old. Wouldn't eat anything apart from porridge. After a while I'd only eat potatoes if they came from Tenerife. That was the only time I would eat potatoes when we went to Tenerife. My Mum and Dad had to pretend they'd had them especially shipped over for me in order for me to eat them. Continued to be underweight and had a massive aversion to food. Ended up with anorexia and bulimia. It was only when I reached about 18-19 that I actually started to enjoy food and enjoy eating. Got diagnosed with pcos and suddenly the weight piled on. I've lost 3 stone of that weight but I still have a fair way to go. Oh and now I can't stand the sight of porridge!! I do eat potatoes from England now as well lol

doughnutobssession · 25/04/2019 15:14

Very skinny through childhood, tested for dwarfism while a baby. The only time I have been over 50kg was when I was pregnant. Currently around 48kg. Only 5ft3

Drogosnextwife · 25/04/2019 15:15

Went from healthy to heavy, then unhealthily made myself thin, then put on a lot of weight again, now I float around being uncomfortable with my weight but not actually having the motivation to do anything about it. I'm not over weight just want to be slimmer.

Happycow · 25/04/2019 15:15

Overweight child, put on a diet age 7ish and got to a healthy weight, then been putting weight on consistently ever since (basically since i could either hide food from my mum, then started to buy my own food and enjoyed eating whatever i liked!).

Keep failing to sort myself out diet-wise as an adult and am obese.

AguerosAngel · 25/04/2019 15:16

I was a healthy weight child, very active, always playing out, never in the house etc. Diet was a bit sketchy, never ate veg (don’t now as an adult) but ate lots of fruit, cheese, etc.

Now skinny and a bit underweight as an adult.

Metalhead · 25/04/2019 15:17

I was very chubby as a child, then slimmed down in my teens as I grew taller. Stayed slim until early 20s when I did far too much drinking and no exercise, then lost some weight again when I settled down with DH. Now I’m approaching 40 and am just on the edge between healthy/overweight on the BMI scale. I have to work at not gaining weight though by eating fairly healthily and exercising regularly.

SagelyNodding · 25/04/2019 15:21

I was extremely skinny and a fussy eater... Until puberty, when at first I filled out in all the 'right' places from 14 to 17 ish, but then I continued until I was overweight. (Drinking, university, discovering good food...) Eventually I slimmed down and now my bmi is about 22, so fairly 'normal' but I have to keep an eye out as I gain weight really easily now Sad It may be genetic as my dad was the same, skinny child-> overweight adult.

YouBumder · 25/04/2019 15:22

Skinny. I’m now obese

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 25/04/2019 15:23

Healthy child. Skinny 20s. Healthy 30s. Obese 40s. Stunning 50s (thus far) Blush

CaptainJaneway62 · 25/04/2019 15:26

very skinny and small for my age.
Remained skinny until my 30's when I had a total hysterectomy and went from size 8 to 12.
Late 40's still size 12 until suffered a serious head injury which damaged my pituitary gland and I piled on 3stone in 3months and it's been almost impossible to shift.

SrSteveOskowski · 25/04/2019 15:35

I was a tiny (as in short) skinny child. My clothes were always a size smaller.
I'm late thirties now and a size 6-8 adult at 5'3".
I didn't change too much.

Roomba · 25/04/2019 16:29

Skinny, short child and slim, short adult here. No idea how really, it's not genetic as the rest of my family have always been overweight despite similar diets. Mind you, I walk or cycle whenever I can whereas they would drive to the corner shop.

SimonJT · 25/04/2019 16:40

I was a fat child, I was famed for being able to eat an entire large bag of chippy chips to myself. I started losing weight when I moved out at 17, but I missed eating whatever I wanted and developed bulimia which eventually led to me being very thin.

I’m probably a little underweight at the minute, but thats stress related really.

Natsku · 25/04/2019 16:49

Healthy (some might say skinny but that is what is healthy for a child) and that carried on until I was in my mid 20s and now I'm verging on overweight
