AIBU to say it was amazing to stride the City, looking the business, on my way to an interview today?

Midway through my strut there, I realised the hand that held my official-looking briefcase is normally holding a small person’s hand (which is lovely in a different way).

I haven’t worked for a little while as have been caring for dc but was previously a high flyer. TBH I felt great about myself in a way that I haven’t for quite a while.

AIBU to have openly strutted with the pride of what I could be once more today?! Btw........ Nailed the interview as an aside.

It felt so, so astonishingly good! I felt like I was back to my old pre-child self for a few hours there! Have been home and happily on fish fingers duty since, but still buzzing!

Well done! I completely agree, recently did a keeping in touch day after maternity leave and it felt good to be back being great at what I do (not just mummy-ing)
