To ask how likely it is that a raw prawn will give me food poisoning!

Just ate an M&S ready meal - the Balanced for You Seafood Linguine

I put it on a plate before heating but added a bit of time - it was hot

I checked the fish and all done so ate up but then spotted a prawn that wasn't pink - it wasn't completely grey and seemed firm inside but definitely wasn't that proper pink

Popped it back in microwave before eating but now I'm worried if I've eaten any other partially cooked seafood and worse I used the same knife and fork to cut up toddler DD's food before I realised and she'd eaten it

I know there's nothing I can do now but should I worry or is the chance quite small?

Let us know tomorrow.

You'll be fine. Relax.

You can eat raw prawns. They are marginally more likely to contain bacteria than cooked ones but assuming the prawn didn’t smell or taste dodgy in the first place then you’ll likely be absolutely fine.

And, anyway, it’s not just a raw prawn, it’s an M&S raw prawn Wink

Imagine M&S food poisoning 🙈

I'm sure you are all right and it will be ok.

I'm more worried about DD to be honest but it was only the cutlery, she didn't have any of mine, so I'm probably being silly
