To think this is a worrying episode of Peppa Pig?

It's the one where Daddy Pig can't find his glasses.

Mummy Pig's reaction is very tense, like she's overly keen to find them so Daddy Pig doesn't get too upset doesn't start throwing his weight around

It's like she's very anxious to make it clear to him that it'll all be okay, that he's the silly one for losing them, etc etc.

And she keeps on telling the kids that Daddy Pig will be very 'grumpy' if they aren't found, and if they are found, this can all stop. He will go back to being 'happy' again.

AIBU?!

Hate it.

Ben and Holly is so much better.

LorelaiRoryEmily · 23/04/2019 22:35

Miss rabbit is Kirk! (Gilmore girls) he works everywhere too. I hate peppa. She’s an obnoxious little pig. Ds has heard me giving out about her so much that he now tells me smiling “I love the nasty little pig mammy”

kateandme · 23/04/2019 22:37

are these things we are spotting because this is the views of society or the writer subconsciously coming through.are we inadvertatnly brainwashing our children from a young age!

IncrediblySadToo · 23/04/2019 22:37

I love PP. I haven’t watched any in ages. Might be my guilty pleasure tomorrow with a nice cup of coffee and some Easter egg! 😊. I haven’t seen any of the newer episodes...I’ll look out for Mr Onion!

Charlie & Lola got the shove here (years ago) because having a little Lola look alike copying the obnoxious little Madam’s phrases & whining voice was not something I could live with.

...but 🐷 is cute.

piefacedClique · 23/04/2019 22:41

The Peppa pig movie is creepy as hell! The girl who is off her tits on something wearing a brightly coloured Homebase style outfit whobthen uses a line which is like someone who is grooming a child online! “I’m friends with Peppa and your friends with Peppa, so we are friends too”! Wrong! All wrong!

@ButtonMooooon 😂😂😂

Crunchymum · 23/04/2019 23:09

I took mine to the cinema to see the Peppa Pig movie.

Longest hour and twelve minutes of my life. The animation I could deal with, the very strange "children's entertainer" woman was terrifyingly wild.

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 23/04/2019 23:24

And on that note, why is the queen human? They don't have a problem with anthropomorphism generally, why couldn't the queen be a squirrel?

A lizard, surely? Grin

TVname · 23/04/2019 23:32

A lizard, surely?
Love this Grin

My DDs are now too old for peppa - I had no idea it was sill pumping out new episodes and I must now seek out the one with Jo Brand as a crocodile. Awesome!

I always loved Dr Brown Bear who would do home visits with the sirens on for a cold.

Anyone remember potato city? We actually went to a vegeable themed funpark in Ohakune in New Zealand this year (we live here - we did not travel halfway around the world for it). The magic of vegetables was endless.

Whowouldfardelsbear · 24/04/2019 07:23

Oh and the mammal/non-mammal thing. That was my theory until the episode with the hedgehogs that are just ordinary hedgehogs getting into Grandpa Pig's veggies

Duchessgummybuns · 24/04/2019 08:14

I have a Happy Mrs Chicken tattoo.

I was dared.

"every time he spots his hero (whether on the TV or in a book) it's like being back in the 1980s at Sunday teatime, as a loud yell of 'BULLLLL' echoes through the house"
:o :o :o

Nousernameforme · 24/04/2019 09:28

Madame Gazelle is a vampire that was in a PP book so it's cannon.

I do think that mummy pig is PA turning the kids against daddy pig and always undermining him. Always silly daddy pig and daddy pig will get grumpy. Daddy pig soon wont express any more opinions or do anything as he will be so beaten down by her.
Peppa pig treats george the way mummy pig treats daddy pig it's very telling.

labazsisgoingmad · 24/04/2019 09:44

next episode daddy pig is off to weight watchers!

Rosesaredead · 24/04/2019 09:47

You're definitely being ridiculous. I was literally watching that episode earlier. There's NOTHING to suggest mummy pig was afraid of daddy pig or that he might "throw his weight around". She jokingly commented that he'd be grumpy if he didn't find them. He joking replied that he'd NOT get grumpy, and they laughed. This thread is hilarious.

Rosesaredead · 24/04/2019 09:50

Although I too am guilty of overthinking Peppa Pig, admittedly. Like why is George Pig called George and not something beginning with P? Why do Daddy Pigs colleagues call him Daddy Pig? What if another male pig with children starts working there? Mummy Rabbit has a sister called Miss Rabbit - what happens if Miss Rabbit has a child? Will they both be named Mummy Rabbit? Isn't it weird that they went to the zoo? Why are the animals in the zoo not conscious and able to talk too?

BallsOfFluff · 24/04/2019 11:40

@Crunchymum @piefacedClique The new film isn't any where near as bad as the one with Daisy the Dope but it's still bad enough!

Mumberjack · 24/04/2019 11:45

My favourite peppa is either Mr Bull going ‘I smashed it to bits!!’ in the china shop, or when they play at different countries. ‘Britain is on the slide’ Grin

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 24/04/2019 13:02

Mummy Rabbit has twins and they promptly disappear and are never seen again.

Grampy Rabbit is never seen with Rebecca Rabbit or Richard Rabbit.

Miss Rabbit is a Marxist case study in exploitation of the workers if ever I saw one.

A weird, dysfunctional bunch, those rabbits ....

TVname · 24/04/2019 14:54

Maybe Mummy Rabbit ate the twins?! conversation takes a dark turn

BusySittingDown · 24/04/2019 14:57

Good God! That episode of Peppa Pig is as old as Adam and you're just bringing it up now?!?

Mine are well past Peppa Pig age Sad and I remember that one.
