Self tan misery

Jambalaya76 · 22/04/2019 15:12

Posting here for traffic. Can anyone recommend a gradual self tanner that doesn't stick to sun spots on my legs. I have tried a few, even had a professional fake tan and no matter how I exfoliate and moisturise, the fake tan takes well, but it darkens more in certain parts of my legs, making me look like a human Dalmatian.
I'm desperate for a healthy looking glow and to not look pale, but I cannot achieve this and just end up
Looking spotty.
I can't be the only one with this problem can I???

Could you use a cotton bud to take the self tan off the darker skin?

Maybe don't bother with tan as such but Sally Hansen spray which has coverage. Always looks great.

Skinny Tan.
I never use anything else. They've got all kinds of tanning products and all of them are good.

Garnier do a BB body bronzer which is lovely and evens out skin tone. It's a more natural tan colour than Sally Hansen as well.

St tropez gradual tan is the best one I've used.

I've been using a tinted body moisturiser the last couple of days, it's much nicer and more natural than fake tan. It's called Sanctuary Wonder body. They used to sell it in Boots but now I can only get it on Amazon or ebay - it's brilliant stuff!

Vaseline over the bits you don't want to darken before you start.

Jambalaya76 · 22/04/2019 17:50

I can't really see the bits that darken before I apply the tan Sad

Anyone else with this same problem?

Yes, I have this issue, and being older I have quite a few.
I let the tan develop and use a cotton bud with a tiny bit of exfoliator on it. Place and twist to remove the smallest area and repeat.
