And has it changed as you've gotten older?
I was a half a cider/alcopop girl in my teens and early twenties I love very dry potent Sauvignon Blanc these days (hence my user name) with the occasional v&t or g&t

I like a Peroni on a hot day
Also like a dry Sauvignon Blanc or Chablis
I like big heavy red wines like Australian Shiraz. Also Malbec and Carmenere.
I like Margaritas and Gin

I'm not an alcoholic....

In my 20s I used to like Jack Daniels and coke
Now in my 30s I prefer gin and tonic or a nice wine
Am 7 months pregnant at the moment so looking forward to a nice glass of red when I'm able.
Oh and sushi, pate etc etc!

80s - vodka with either lime/black currant/fresh orange or Peach Schnapps and lemonade, very occasionally wine, red or white and sometimes Lambrusco
90s - red/white wine
2000 on - cremante/Prosecco/champagne and/or gin and tonic and red wine, occasionally a whisky

Very dry sauvignon blanc
Prosecco
Champagne
Aperol spritz

As a teenager, archers and lemonade and a multitude of shots
Now, I don’t think you can go wrong with a Budweiser, a pink gin and lemonade or a nice Pinot Grigio

West Coast Cooler (original or rosé) with loads of ice.

Only other thing I will drink is freshly made cocktails, not too strong. Strawberry dacquiri or Mojitos are nice

I only drink white wine these days. I am also very fussy and will only drink it if it is very dry. Particular favourite ATM has Voignier grape in it which also happens to make it more alcoholic

I love a white russian but right now my favourite is Edinburgh gin, rhubarb and ginger with ginger ale. I don't drink very often though so it's a rare treat.

Teens / early 20s - cider / lager and evil drinks that consisted of cider with Pernod and black currant in it 🤮 and another one that was diamond white with castaway wine mix drink in it. And MD 20/20

Mid 20s was alcohol time Bacardi breezers went down well.

30s white wine or vodka and Diet Coke. Cider if it's nice weather

40s white wine, prosecco, any flavoured gin and cider if it's nice weather

I've always been a gin drinker, long before it became the 'in' drink.

However if I'm not fancying gin, my drinks of choice would be

Teens - cider and black, archers and lemonade, Reef
Early twenties - Cointreau and lemonade, reef, cheap lager
Late twenties - craft beer (DH jumped on that train and it's great fun trying new ones)

Beer - mostly ale/bitter, but I do like an ice cold lager on a hot day.

I also love a cocktail. A properly spiced bloody Mary (with a sherry float), a Manhattan or an Old Fashioned.

Not that I drink much these days, but if I did...

I don't like sweet drinks very much so my go-to's are:

Vodka, lime & soda
Vodka, Russchian/Tonic
Vodka, Cranberry + Grapefruit
G&T - Beefeater or Tanquery + fever tree. My mum has to make it tho because her G+Ts are perfection and I can't recreate them.

(All must be cold w/ loads of ice)

Dry, Fruity Pinot Grigio or Marlborough SB (also must be ice cold)

Single Malt (I like Cardhu, but anything not too peaty is passable) - lots and lots of ice.

Also 7 months pregnant with an Ice craving at the moment which might be swaying my preferences a bit

Late teens/early 20's - cheap wine, alcopops (reef, bacardi breezers, VK), beer.

Mid - late 20's - copious amounts of white wine - not really fussy. Prosecco occasionally.
late 30's now and quite particular. Either a very full bodied red like malbec or bone dry rose. Sometimes prosecco. Also love an M & S v&t in a can or an amaretto.

20s Vodka & lime, fosters

Late 20s onwards a nice chardonnay, peroni, corona, san miguel & prosecco.

Red wine .

Margarita or Sancerre

Mmm.

It’s changed a lot over the years.
As a teen, a long vodka or a can of red stripe.
In my twenties, a cocktail most likely or maybe a glass of red, most likely a Cotes du Rhône.
In my thirties, glass of champagne or a half n half of a bottle of Peroni with a double Talisker.
In my forties it’s either champagne or a good red. I like a Malbec, a Barolo or a sparkling Shiraz.

The younger me Pernod and coke, Cherry brandy and coke, taboo and lemonade, blue taboo and lemonade, Malibu and coke, tia Maria and coke. Actually I think I just started at one end of the bar and worked my way across. Also loved reefs cherry veeba's and the alcoholic milkshakes. Surprisingly I never got a hangover. The older more refined me well now I'm more than happy with a cuppa and my pjs but I do occasionally like a pink gin and lemonade or a few cocktails on holiday
