And has it changed as you've gotten older?
I was a half a cider/alcopop girl in my teens and early twenties Blush I love very dry potent Sauvignon Blanc these days (hence my user name) with the occasional v&t or g&t

Sour cocktail drinks (aviation is a fave, negronis ace, margarita will do), g&t always a fallback and am weirdly really enjoying the heavy new world chardonnays (marmaladey!) which I liked back in early 20s. But not a fan of new world reds at all! Also a fan of IPAs, loving the craft beer explosion 🍺🥃🍸

Izzabellasasperella · 20/04/2019 23:17

Pernod and coke. Looks like mud but I love the taste.

PurpleFlower1983 · 20/04/2019 23:19

Good quality dry white wine and red wine
Margaritas

tor8181 · 20/04/2019 23:19

all way been coke for me as ive been teetotal all my life(im 38)

Longdistance · 20/04/2019 23:19

When I was late teens/ early twenties it was vodka or Bacardi mixers. Early twenties to now white wine, occasionally rose. Now I’m 40’s I’m getting into fruity ciders.

Aimily · 20/04/2019 23:27

Teens/early 20s: alchopops, big on blue WKD and Smirnoff ice
Late 20s: more spirits so, rum (white) with fruit juice (spiced/dark) with coke or Southern Comfort and lemonade.
My friends love gin... I just can't get into it or like the taste🙄

I've never objected to a nice fruity rose for as long as I can remember though 😂

KeptTheBeachesShipwreckFree · 20/04/2019 23:34

Port and bitter lemon now.
I also like red wine (not too dry though) with lemonade and cherry wine with lemonade.
I like toffee vodka liqueur.
I like chocolate and strawberry sidekick as well. Much cheaper than Baileys and nicer too.

When I was younger I used to like Hooch and other alcopops. I tried to like what I saw as "grown up" drinks such as vodka, lager, JD or Southern Comfort but even now I can't stand them.

MumUnderTheMoon · 20/04/2019 23:35

I loved a cider back in the day but now I like southern comfort, lemonade and lime or a nice fruity cocktail.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 20/04/2019 23:38

Echo Falls fruit fusions
Vodka lemon and lime
Brandy and coke

Mominatrix · 20/04/2019 23:46

For the past 20 years, champagne or really well produced English sparkling wine.

Absolutepowercorrupts · 20/04/2019 23:46

@sexnotgender
Speyside malts are the best, Aberlour, Singleton. Can't stand malts from the islands, too much peat for me. It's amazing how much the water can affect the finished product.
In my youth pretty much anything
40 years later Vino Verde, , the occasional gin, either Bombay Sapphire or Tanqueray

FenellaVelour · 20/04/2019 23:51

A strong imperial stout, given the choice, or a hoppy IPA. Proper craft beer.

Will also drink dry white wine, Pimms or spiced rum, and quite fond of a decent gin and tonic.

Time40 · 20/04/2019 23:55

Champagne, darlings. Naturally.

HoppityChicken · 21/04/2019 00:00

I'm with Campista. Bud or prosecco. It used to be Vodka and orange, then convincing myself for years that I liked wine but I really just want a cold bottle of beer.

MollyYouInDangerGirl · 21/04/2019 00:10

If I'm out for a meal or going out for a civilised one or two then I love New Zealand sauvignon blanc.

If I'm "out out" then a pornstar martini is my go to. Also love espresso martinis.

If I'm really out out and will be drinking a lot then I have vodka lemonade as although cocktails are my preference I cant afford many at £10 a pop.

I also love a gin and tonic but I'm a bit fussy as I've only just got into it.

When I was younger I used to love the fruit ciders like rekordalig or kopperberg but I cant drink them anymore they hurt my teeth.

As a teenager I drank vodka straight from the bottle, wkds (ha) or Caribbean twist from tesco

BattenburgIsland · 21/04/2019 00:14

Gin mostly now days or prosecco or champagne or pretty much any long cocktails.... I like White Russians!

In my 20s I developed a taste for Belgian larger for a while

In my late teens and early twenties it was vodka with whatever I could find.. usually lime cordial.. yuck! Lol and warm cider in plastic bottles and Carling, and Wkd blue and hooch...Malibu and coke if you were trying to be fancy... yuck yuck yuck!! I think it was a combo of poverty and lack of knowledge about what was actually available and nice

I have always despised whiskey.

Bbang · 21/04/2019 00:54

If I’m in a wine mood it’s either a strong Malbec or light Pinot Grigio, but I suppose mainly I’ll drink a Hendricks gin with tonic and a cucumber slice in the house, though I’m partial to a Disaronno sour when a bartenders making it!

70s Cider and babycham
80s Bacardi and coke
90s White wine normally a pinot
00s Brandy and dry ginger ale or Morgan's and dry ginger ale.

Raspberrytruffle · 21/04/2019 04:11

I'm weird I love a sweet German white wine, flat vintage cider, grey fox (Sainsbury's)

Backwoodsgirl · 21/04/2019 04:17

Blueberry moonshine

LucyInTheSkyy · 21/04/2019 05:41

90's; Sweet fizz; Taboo/ Hooch/Smirnoff ice/ Bacardi breezers / lager & lime

00's; vodka & Coke / white wine / Guinness & Black / cider

10's; red wine / rose wine / Prosecco / good gin & tonic / IPAs/ fruit ciders

I love all varieties of alcohol really- think I've had a phase of everything. Even got into whiskey for a while. Only normally have 3/4 drinks a week over the weekend. Preferences are for less sweet as I've got older.

TSSDNCOP · 21/04/2019 06:07

Chardonnay

I’m very partial to a Negroni

Dollywilde · 21/04/2019 06:25

Also a huge negroni fan @TSSDNCOP! Though I don’t usually do cocktails.

Mixed drinks I’m a G&T girl but again spirits aren’t really my bag. An ice cold, super dry Sauvignon though...

If I didn’t love white wine as much as I do I swear I’d rarely drink. I’m not wild about the sensation of being drunk, but it’s just too delicious!

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 21/04/2019 07:23

Also dont mind a Malibu and coke on holiday, only on holiday though.
