I hate my section scar

I had an emergency section with my (one and only) DS almost 14 months ago. Obviously there wasn't a great deal of time for the surgeons to make everything look pretty afterwards! I was lucky that I had a great surgeon and I didn't have any complications/infections afterwards, it seems to have healed pretty well. But I hate it! That C section overhang- I've lost a lot of weight since I had my DS but it is still so ugly. I hate feeling like I'm being so shallow but the idea of ever getting intimate with someone again makes me feel sick with nerves. I'm convinced it will be very off-putting.

Anyone else?!

I had an elective section with my second. As they had more time, they tidied up my awful emergency section scar from my first.

I feel your pain, looked like they'd sewn me up with barbed wire the first time. But it does fade, and if you're getting intimate with someone, they will not be worried about your scar, trust me. Grin

My DS 17 months was also born by energy c section. I'm the same, I've lost the weight and my body is pretty much ok. Apart from my scar. Where it stops is hideous. Some days I hate it, most days I remind myself that my son came from that scar. Yes, my body is different but generally I am making my peace with it. The "mother's apron" is definitely something I don't like. But I don't even think it's something my partner sees to be honest!
