Over a year ago I moved into a flat with my family and the last few months royal mail have been leaving my parcels outside my door they do not knock or ring the bell. Have been sending parcels to Sainsbury's/argos instead. Yesterday was about to take my son out and found everyone's letters including mine dumped by the flat entrance inside the flat. They are now not pushing letters through everyone's doors (lazy service!) This is a big concern for me as I am currently waiting on very important letters. I have made a complaint to royal mail but feel they are still going to be failing to deliver post properly. Should I contact my landlord/housing association regarding this? Is there anything else I can do? Anyone else having problems with Royal mail lately?

It's a problem with your specific postman rather than Royal Mail in general.

I would go to your local sorting office and ask for the manager. If you ring the customer services number they don't always pass the message on.

We have a porch and the postie thought it was acceptable to leave any parcels for any house in our street in our porch. I got a personal apology when I delivered them all back to the sorting office.

I have these problems. My postman has given up knocking on my door with parcels, gives them straight to the neighbours and they have ‘banter’ that I must always be asleep! I leave for work at 6am most days and there’s an official Royal Mail sticker stating for all parcels to be returned to sorting office. It’s really not the hard job it used to be, at least not in my town anyway. There’s always 2 posties per van and one van per small area. Park up outside the houses, deliver post, get back in van, repeat. Probably only a few hours work. DPD and the like do way more deliveries and they manage fine🤷🏼‍♀️ When I am home my postman is always having long conversations with the neighbours so not like they’re stretched for time. Definitely a RM problem they’ve been on a steep decline for years. Don’t even get the ‘missed you’ cards anymore! They’ve turned it into a game of ‘wheres your post’

At least you lot get your post. My postman is a light fingered thieving cunt.
