Does anyone know when they reduce the Easter eggs, specifically the ones in M&S? I have my eye on one of their eggs but i dont want to pay full price for it Grin

No idea, would be lovely to know, they haven`t yet in our shops. They were even selling damaged, half opened packets in our shop full price this morning

juls1888 · 17/04/2019 13:47

It's usually Easter Monday where I am

BarbaraofSevillle · 17/04/2019 13:51

If it's any time, it'll be Easter Monday, remember that all the big shops will be closed on Sunday, so there's a definite cut off between before and after Easter.

I don't think the 'normal' supermarkets really reduce their Easter eggs any more, as they're all just on offer on the run up to Easter, but M&S may be different.

The only shop that I know have half price Easter eggs are Hotel Chocolat, but theirs are £££s to start with. It might be worth a trip to M&S early on Monday morning to see if there are any reductions, but be prepared to be disappointed, especially if there's a specific egg you want.

I think stock control is much better these days, and its rare to be able to pick up stuff like Easter Eggs on the cheap - generally they sell them all!

One year, we actually had real difficulty getting an Easter Egg for niece as we had left it til Easter Sunday, thinking we'd swing by the supermarket on our way round, and there wasn't one to be found across several supermarkets. We ended up with a really small egg and a soft toy, as they didn't have any decent eggs left.

So if there's one specific egg you're after, then you may well need to pay full price if you definitely want to get it. If its just as a treat for you, and it doesn't matter if you can't get one, then its probably worth a try on Easter Monday, just in case they have one left and have decided to reduce them.

Buy one full price now! Then buy a second one reduced next week. Grin

Usually straight after Easter.

SilverySurfer · 17/04/2019 14:01

I've found the same as mrsm43s rarely if ever see reduced eggs after Easter.

CardsforKittens · 17/04/2019 14:03

I had trouble finding any Easter eggs on Easter Sunday last year. I tried several shops. If you’ve seen one you want to get, get it now!

NancyJoan · 17/04/2019 14:04

I don't know about M&S, but there were slim pickings in Tesco on Monday, and in Hotel Chocolat yesterday there were no eggs left at all. Luckily, I was in there for something else, but there were lots of disappointed folk.

madasamarchhare · 17/04/2019 14:09

Good luck! South east here and last few years all stores have sold out completely by Saturday. If there are any left I’d imagine it’d be Easter Monday as the larger stores will be shut Sunday.

BreconBeBuggered · 17/04/2019 14:11

I find these days that the big supermarkets don't go in for the big reductions they used to offer, but offer multibuy discounts much earlier instead. You might have some luck with Aldi and local convenience stores.

cookiemonster3 · 17/04/2019 14:14

They will be reduced on Monday. I've asked the kids and they want to wait till then to get an egg because they can get a better egg or even a couple.

Last year we went to pick up a couple on the Tuesday after Easter and our friend who is manager of our local supermarket said to wait till Wednesday because all the £1 eggs which were reduced to 50p would go to 10p on Wednesday.

whitehalleve · 17/04/2019 14:19

You rarely see them after Easter Sunday now. You used to see loads reduced.

idrunthroughanairportforyou · 17/04/2019 14:41

Marks and spencer garages round out way always have loads reduced!

RogueV · 17/04/2019 15:38

Some are already on sale on Ocado

Liverbird77 · 17/04/2019 16:56

Beware! They get rid of the easter eggs really quickly. I was hoping to get a couple cut price last year, but there were none on the shelves come easter Monday

Petalflowers · 17/04/2019 17:01

There seems to be loads in supermarkets around where I live, more than usual. I know in the past they have sold out quickly.

Tobythecat · 17/04/2019 17:49

Great thanks all! Will try Easter monday.
