To keep thinking about this?

I had the rare opportunity to go shopping childfree on Saturday and was looking for some new jeans. I was in the shop talking to an assistant and holding some jeans up to my waist. She put her finger on the crotch of the jeans and pulled it up into my crotch all the time talking about how this is how the jeans would sit. I felt weird about it at the time and walked away with out saying anything but it keeps playing on my mind... was it a normal thing for a shop assistant to do?

Doesn’t sound it Confused

It sounds really intrusive and weird. Are you ok?

Lemonysherbet · 12/04/2019 23:27

Sounds uncomfortable to me. Especially if it's playing on your mind

Thank u for confirming it was a bit weird! Obviously it isn’t serious but every time my mind goes quiet it pops up. I am an over-thinker though.

I don’t think you are overthinking - that’s really weird and intrusive and would make me uncomfortable too. I hope you’re ok.

I am tempted to ring the shop and ask them to just clarify training with their staff. I don’t want anyone to get in to trouble if it was an innocent mistake (the poor woman could be cringing every time she thinks about it) but it is a big enough shop that I don’t think they could single anyone out. On the other hand if it is a regular thing and they have had other complaints then it might be evidence that they need.
