For a generic message, if you have any greeting, what else would you use? Madam seems quite quaintly old-fashioned even for middle-aged women nowadays, so I can't imagine that teenage girls/very young women would really relate to it.

Personally, I would have just gone with "We're sorry....", but then I don't work in marketing or branding.

I got part way through ordering some shoes before having a word with myself about the impractical size of the heel and abandoning the idea. I had an email yesterday calling me "Love" and offering me a 20% off coupon. Today it's gone up to 30% and I've become "honey". Maybe if I leave it long enough I'll get the shoes free and and be married to them.
