Is it just me or is there no dignified way of taking skinny jeans off?

Whenever I take off skinny jeans I feel like a two legged giraffe stumbling around the room, or I have to sit down 😂 is it just me?

Yup, like squeezing sausage out of the skin. Also my high waisted fly popped open on the bus last week - the humiliation of my bloated tum Grin

Defender90 · 11/04/2019 14:10

The legs always become at least twice as long the second you try to take them off.

Mine always get stuck on my socks. I fear for my ankles sometimes!

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 11/04/2019 14:20

It's preferable to get someone else to take them off for you Blush

notacooldad · 11/04/2019 14:20

Ha!
My 23 year ds wears the really tight skinned the one that make your legs look like pencils. He was trying to get changed quickly out of them while chatting to me.

It was like something Norman Wisdom would do. He was tripping himself up, falling over and makes right hash.
I just had to say what the hell are you doing!!!🤣🤣

lizzlebizzle33 · 11/04/2019 14:46

Ha ha I didn't even think of men having to do it too, that must look hilarious 😂

He is a skinny 6ft 3so he looked a sight! It's fair to say I was howling at him as he got more flustered!!

Preggosaurus9 · 11/04/2019 15:52

Pull halfway down thighs
Sit down
Pull off each foot/ankle individually
Then pull off each leg individually
Ta dah!

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 11/04/2019 15:57

Id say its more embarrassing trying to get mine on these days,

I've already admitted defeat some time ago!!

From c.1985

Friend: 'How does he get out of those jeans?'
Me: 'And so quickly'

HarrysOwl · 11/04/2019 20:15

With a hop, stumble, and pull. And my socks remain on.

Nothing I do is elegant. Or even humourously endearing.

How I escape my skinny jeans is sadly plain ugly.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 11/04/2019 20:17

Socks off first obviously! Duh!

lizzlebizzle33 · 11/04/2019 20:34

I'm so glad it's not just me 😂😂

OP posts:
lizzlebizzle33 · 11/04/2019 20:36

I just wouldn't think to take my socks off first, and if I'm just getting changed I might be keeping the socks on🤔 just too much effort 😂

expatinspain · 11/04/2019 20:56

Socks get pulled off with the skinny jeans anyway!

Bethanyg25 · 11/04/2019 20:59

The worst is when dh is in the mood and he tries to take them off all seductively but they don’t come off in one smooth motion

MaryBoBary · 11/04/2019 21:04

I pull down and try and pull my legs out while standing on the bottom of them. I buy cheap jeans.

Katiepoes · 11/04/2019 21:04

I once fell out of an M&S changing cubicle taking mine off. The shame. I don't think anyone else saw but they must have heard the noise and the muttered swearing followed by my then three yearold laughing in complete delight. Bastard skinny jeans.

Laiste · 11/04/2019 21:28

Get them half off, stand on the inside out bit and then sort of moon walk backwards and off they come.

Easy Grin

TomHardysCardy · 11/04/2019 21:52

I always find they come off easiest when I am drunk, Saturday night for example I was slightly drunk absolutely wankered DP was staying and they were off in a flash

Tonight was a protracted affair, with me stubbing my toe almost cartwheeling across my bedroom in my efforts to get the bastard things off

JeNeBaguetteRien · 11/04/2019 22:17

As Laiste does, or else pull down a bit then sit down and peel off so they're inside out.

curlycat · 11/04/2019 22:25

DD tried on brand new skinny jeans and got stick in them. Couldn't get them over her heal inside out or the right way. Thought we were going to have to cut her out off then when her foot started turning blue😱😱 DH finally managed to prise them off!
