Laughs along with canned laughter to be sociable.

And never leaves a lone item on my plate in case it feels left out?

Anyone with any similar ones?

I can’t take a lone pebble from a beach. It has to be accompanied at least 2 or 3 others to start a new family in a new home - otherwise I feel guilty that it’ll be lonely. My dc just think I have a pebble collection (they don’t realise these are, in fact, lots of pebble families who have relocated and become a new community, having been given my favourite bowl as their new house).

BlackPrism · 08/04/2019 23:18

I cry when I lose things because I'm worried they'll feel abandoned.Blush

thisonehasalittlecar · 08/04/2019 23:18

@justmuddlingalong I always say please and thank you to Alexa. When Skynet becomes self-aware you will be first against the wall.

I also apologise to the car when I stall it or clip a curb (which hardly ever happens as I am an excellent driver Blush

BlackPrism · 08/04/2019 23:20

I also always buy the damaged or ugliest teddy or object because I feel sorry for it and worry no one else will want it.

HelpIcantfindaname · 08/04/2019 23:24

I moved the baby's pram because it was too close to the coffee machine...in my daughter's dolls house.

lololove · 08/04/2019 23:28

I thank Alexa for turning lights on, telling me the weather/temperature and doing things for me - she seems very pleased each time "You bet!" ( I want the robots to know I was grateful and a friend should they rise and take over)

I get sentimentally attached to the weirdest things and can't bare to part with them.

I talk to my dogs like they're humans - I ask them questions and tell them things. They're both very 'chatty' back (lots of noises and muttering) so it feels like we're properly having a conversation.

TooBusyHavingFun · 08/04/2019 23:28

I also leave the tv on for cat and dog.

I say sorry when I bang into something.

Excitedforxmas · 08/04/2019 23:29

Can’t split up a bunch of bananas in the supermarket- they must all come to my house to be eaten.
If I put cuddly toys in a bag then i need to put in air holes so they can breathe!!

AlunWynsKnee · 08/04/2019 23:31

I do the bean thing too. And my old car is SORNed while it waits for its new owner. When I drove it for the last time I had to sit and have a reflective chat with it to say thanks for being a good car.

ooItsAoBeautifulDayNow · 08/04/2019 23:33

"Be good, no parties" to lovely house bunny when I pop out. Every time. I don't think she's had one yet but she's a feisty little minx so it's always a possibility 🐰

ooItsAoBeautifulDayNow · 08/04/2019 23:36

Also do weird and specific harmonies to tv theme tunes that aren't part of the originals. The same ones every single time. Mainly Big Bang theory, Malcolm in the middle and friends. I think I maybe got them wrong once and then just repeated. Or maybe I am a musical genius. Either or. God I need to get out more.

3dogs2cats · 08/04/2019 23:38

I explain everything I am doing to the plants in my garden, even the weeds. I try to uproot them humanely.

ErrmWTAF · 08/04/2019 23:38

I say please and thank you to Alexa.

My boy (then 5ish) used to cry for hours over the loneliness of the nearly empty battery recycle bucket at Aldi, whereas the other two were chokka.

mama4321 · 08/04/2019 23:39

There's a building you pass driving South West out of London (A3?) that has cows on the roof, I could never drive by it without mooing at them.

That was obligatory 30 years ago when I used to regularly drive past. Preceded by a shout of "cows on the roof!" Smile

popcornpaws · 08/04/2019 23:41

I have a chat with my dog every night about our day, and i thank him for bringing us happiness!

When i’m leaving the house he always gets a biscuit, i tell him i love him and will see him in five minutes, regardless of how long i will actually be out for.
I also say goodbye to the house when i’m going out!

darkriver19886 · 08/04/2019 23:42

I always say "Bye Pepper see you later" to my cat when I leave the house. She doesn't care WHO comes back as long as she is fed.

I always speak outloud to myself. (I live alone)

Every night I have to close the bathroom door. (In case of a dripping tap)

I always sleep on the side that is facing the door. I can't sleep any other way.

Justmuddlingalong · 08/04/2019 23:43

Whenever I watch Silent Witness, when the theme tune gets to the last, high pitched note, I pretend I'm singing it, raise my eyebrows and cross my eyes. Don't we all? 🙏

Funkyferret · 08/04/2019 23:44

I know I am a bit (a lot! over-invested in inanimate objects). It's the plant mourning though that is just ridiculous - I'm a good grower but have a mad thing that I'll try and root things from seeds, bouquets, etc. Sometimes it works - hurrah!. Sometimes it doesn't - well, I tried. Sometimes it goes for a bit then fails - those are the black spiral of grief ones Blush

lazyspoon · 08/04/2019 23:47

I have to say "see you in the morning" as the last thing I say before going to sleep

I also subconsciously (I've been told) smell everything I eat before I eat it

IncrediblySadToo · 09/04/2019 00:02

Sometimes I think I’m going mad...

...then I come on here & realise that I’m at least in good company!

Winenotttea · 09/04/2019 00:05

I colour co-ordinate pegs to clothes........
TV volume has to be an even number.......

That’s just scratching the surface, I am a weirdo! Grin

Justmuddlingalong · 09/04/2019 00:06

@Funkyferret, I take home the wee, shrivelled, dying plants from the garden centre. I can't bear the thought of nobody even giving them a chance.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 09/04/2019 00:08

I always say hello and goodbye to the cat. Well, she is sitting there at the top of the steps, so she expects it. I also leave the radio, and a lamp on when we go out. Don't want her sitting lonely, in the dark.

Thank the tv regularly before switching it off, but do swear at Alexa.

Thank the coffee pot for my lovely coffee. Only when alone though. Don't want people to think I am nuts.

MrsDeltaB · 09/04/2019 00:12

Tesco scan and shop, it's thanks me for shopping at Tesco so - I reply, audibly 'you are most welcome'.

Like others I'm sure I have more

Cherrysoup · 09/04/2019 00:15

I also colour co-ordinate pegs to clothes!

I can’t separate eg two pillowcases if they’re together in the drawer, even if they’re not a match. They might be married, what do I know?!

I asked google if she’s taking the piss when she doesn’t do what I want. She scared me by responding ‘I am not taking the mickey, no’. Terrifying. I thank her when she plays what I want straight away. Oh dear.
