...who used to present a quiz show in the late eighties or early nineties?

I think one of the characters in Upstart Crow rips him off.

Anybody know who I mean?

Earlier than Justin Lee Knobhead ( Grin) , posher than Noel Edmonds. Curlier than either of them, but you're in the right ballpark of slightly leonine looking men.
