Is it OK to see ex?

I have been seeing someone for a few months. Apart from a few teething problems, everything is going well. In December I broke up with my ex who I was seeing for about four months, so not long. We got on really well but he was a complete sexophobe so I didnt have sex with him. I saw him a few times in January but ended up hurt and confused by him. We do always have a fab time though when we go out together.

He has asked if I wanted to go on a day out this weekend. I would like to see him but also feel very awkward about doing this while I'm with new bf. It seems a bit off. Is it? No chance of ex and I doing anything together sexual and on both sides romantic feelings don't exist at all.

So what's the point of meeting up with him?

Do you really think it's a bit off or are you more worried that your BF will think it a bit off?

If I was seeing someone and they told me they were meeting up with a fairly recent ex I would be suspicious/unhappy about it I must admit. Perhaps unfairly so, but it's how I would feel.

Yeah the only way "round" this is to be 100% honest with your BF and tell him you see ex as a friend only and simply enjoy spending time with him, purely platonically.

But as this is a new relationship, no matter how innocent the interaction with your ex is, it still may go down like a tonne of bricks....

Therefore, is it worth it?

It could be ok to everyone on here but the one person you should be asking is your current partner, that's whose feelings matter.
