To think there MUST be the perfect pair of black tights out there?

Anyone? Just had to bin 15 pairs of black tights as they were old, bobbly and terrible cat fluff traps. Any ideas where I can get the 'slipperier' kind of tights cat fluff won't be attracted to that ALSO don't ride down or go bobbly?

I've religiously been buying my tights in Primark for probably 15 years... maybe there is a better way?!

M&S 60 denier ones, warm, look good & wash really well. Mine always look sleek and shiny. Little expensive though, like £8 for 3, I usually try to find them half price in the outlet.

Perfect pair of black tights:

  1. I would say M&S 100 denier black velvet touch tights.
  2. F&F luxury range 100 denier navy or black opaques from Tesco.
  3. 100 denier Classic opaque tights range from Gipsy tights online. Hope this helps. www.pinterest.ch/pin/835417799602123963/

Came on to say snags but several dozen people beat me to it Grin

80 denier are great but 50 also good. I did get a lingerie bag to wash them in after a pair got wrecked after snagging (ha!) on the Velcro of a bib.

Anarchyshake · 03/07/2019 21:54

Snag.
I wear the 80 denier ones in vibrant colours but they also do fab thin ones.

All my Snag tights snagged :( 2 pairs on the first time wearing as well.

I have been a big fan of M&S Autograph tights for years. They are the only ones I have found that have a nice matte coverage and don't have a sheen that make your legs look like sausages.

Cryalot2 · 03/07/2019 22:44

M,&S I only wear opaque. 1 type of Tesco very good .

Snag tights again. They changed my tighting life!

SolsticeBabyMaybe · 03/07/2019 23:05

I used to buy m&s but honestly Snag Tights beat them by miles

IncyWincyGrownUp · 03/07/2019 23:11

Snag all the way. I’ve not worn a pair of trousers since I discovered them last year. They’ve cost me a bloody fortune though as I needed to buy dresses to go with them!:o

I have always bought the primark 60 3D Lycra and they were really shiny and stayed up. I loved them because they were really stretchy but didn’t overstretch and loose their shape. I’m having the same issue as my primark don’t sell the 3D Lycra anymore in 60 denier. I tried the M&S ones and they lost their stretch. I plan on just trying all of the high street shops until I find a replacement. I understand your pain OP.
