What would you make for dinner? I am toying with a takeaway but remember its only Wednesday. I do have cleaning to do too so don't want to spend too much time cooking.

I also really fancy a Morrisons salad bar with all the unhealthy stuff on!

Inspire me.

Beans on toast

Doje · 03/04/2019 15:25

Nandos (the sauce you can buy) chicken and chips with coleslaw! My kids don't like spicey stuff so I never get to either.

Dementedswan · 03/04/2019 15:25

Chicken fajitas and a beer, followed by starfishing in bed with a good book knowing I'll wake up to a still clean and tidy house.

Nandos (the sauce you can buy) chicken and chips with coleslaw Mmm that sounds on the right track

if I could I'd choose the Morrisons salad bar every time, with loads of pasta on (unfortunately there's no Morrisons near me and I don't drive) and I'd eat it in bed with a cup of tea, hot water bottle and my usual serial killer inspired TV documentary, then hibernate. Bliss.

My solo dinners are

Curry chip sandwiches
Porridge
Tayto sandwiches

HooverIsAlwaysBroken · 03/04/2019 15:35

Salmon in oven with loads of cherry tomatos, salt and some chilli with rice. Glass of wine to celebrate no bedtime/ bath time/homework/stories etc.

Early night with large cup of herbal tea and Netflix Smile

My partner doesn’t like fish so I would binge on smoked mackerel pate while he’s away!

CalmDownPacino · 03/04/2019 15:47

A pizza and a bottle of wine.

3in4years · 03/04/2019 15:48

Last weekend I had a packet of microwave rice one night and some hash browns the other.

PandaCat · 03/04/2019 15:49

A ready meal, curry or pasta bake.

I hate preparing food for just myself so I will usually have something I can just pop in the oven.

Eliza9919 · 03/04/2019 15:50

Takeaway or drive-thru
Something that just goes in the oven from M&S
Oven pizza or chicken wings
General junk; crisps, chocolate, supernoodles, beige oven stuff.

In that order of preference.

BeanBag7 · 03/04/2019 15:56

Portobello mushroom risotto from "cook". I love risotto but husband doesn't so I can't be arsed to cook it just for me, it takes so long!

Order654 · 03/04/2019 16:01

Dominos pizza & cookies. Delivered so I didn’t have to go out.

Then cups of tea and chocolate after if I had much room left.

smallereveryday · 03/04/2019 16:06

A Thai red curry with proper paste. Takes about 7 mins. Use up the bits of veg and get a chance to eat some before the gannets get it the next day ! Then all I have to do is rice in rice cooker - 2 days of cooking for less than ten mins . Bonus.

Ihavealwaysknown · 03/04/2019 16:09

Pizza! DH doesn’t like pizza (freak) and I’m lazy 😂

iklboo · 03/04/2019 16:09

Big ploughman's lunch type thing - crusty bread, butter, pate, cheese, pickled onions, posh crisps, charcuterie meats and a nice bottle of chilled white wine.

ScreamScreamIceCream · 03/04/2019 16:09

Ohhh curry chip butties...

TooManyBiscuitsNotEnoughTea · 03/04/2019 16:11

This all sounds so good! I think I'm gonna go for the salad bar, I hope its fully stocked!

keenwasalad · 03/04/2019 16:15

I'd get a takeaway. Sod the fact it's only Wednesday. Then I'd throw all the leftovers in a frying pan and have for breakfast YUMMMM

Sunhill4 · 03/04/2019 16:18

DarlingCoffee · 03/04/2019 16:19
