To be freaking out about this lump?

I found a lump right up in my groin two days ago, it feels firm and doesn't really hurt, but I can feel it when I press on it.

I'm a bit of a hyperchondriac and as DP pointed out it could be a cyst, an ingrown hair, amongst a plethora of other non sinister things.

I've decided to see if it'll go down in a few days before going doctor's as I seem to be there a lot recently.

Has anyone had anything like this or know what it might be?

I'm finding I'm worrying about it during quieter parts of the day and you guys all seem to be great at reassuring people!

Yes I had very similar, it was a cyst. Hot bath and hold a hot flannel on it. Worth getting checked out, mine went in a couple of weeks with antibiotics.

Bartholin Cyst it was called.

I found a small lump. Felt like a pea in my groin. I was terrified. It turned out to be a infected hair follicle even though I'd looked with a mirror and convinced myself it wouldn't be as there was no hair visible.

Thank you, I'll book an appointment in the morning
