I said I'd go swimming with my mum tonight at our local pool, at an "Adults Only" time slot but I'm so nervous... I don't really know why

Would it be busy? On a Monday night? Will people stare at me?? I'm not the slimmest person so that stresses me out... what if I do something wrong.. I've never been before

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Nobody will bat an eyelid. Everyone's been a beginner before. Enjoy x

It'll be quiet and people will be swimming. The only person who cares what you look like is you, everyone else is too caught up worrying what people are thinking of them.

I'm self conscious at normal times because of noisy kids and skinny teenagers.

Adult only sessions are lovely. All shapes and sizes. People are either busy swimming or quietly stopping for a breather and a chat at the side of the pool.

thank you for your responses, I read them before I went and you settled my mind a lot

I just got back, barely anyone there and the people who were weren't interested in what I was doing/looked like at all, it was absolutely fine!

Thank you again x
