Expensive holiday club vs child maintenance

Parent A has residence of 2 DC. Parent B has visitation for a couple of hours fortnightly, and pays quite good maintenance (around £1K/ month).
Parent A wants one of the children to attend a specialised Easter holiday club (STEM focused, with robotics and other fancy topics). The issue is that the club is quite posh (around £400 for a week, and not even for a full day). The child is of primary school age and there is no pressing educational need for them to attend.
Parent A asked for an additional contribution of £200 from Parent B towards the cost of the club. What is your opinion - should this be already covered by the regular maintenance payments or is Parent A reasonable in this request?

lalasmum11 great that it all worked out for you

But your dh chose to love away and chose not to go through the court. So yes, I would judge him. Especially 'with kids of our own it just wasnt viable' bit.

It doesn’t matter if A gets benefits and credits. What does that have to do with anything?

@lalas your dh still chose to move four hours away. Hardly dad of the year!

So now rather than can only do a couple of hours a fortnight access denied . It doesn’t matter to me the sex of a or b . If b wants to be a parent then they need to step up and be a parent .

yeah for career progression, which didn't affect the contact that he had (Which was dictated by the RP anyway so it made shite all difference to her, except lets face it she probably got more maintenance and I bet she didn't say decline it!)

This is the sad thing with patterns who split up - it all becomes about them and their relationship with their ex.

Shouldn't the question be whether the DC would enjoy the camp and get lots out of it and then, whether the parents can afford this. End of

Sounds fair to me for parents to split the cost.

Lalasmum yes it is his fault. He could have gone to court and got a suitable arrangement many years earlier.
If I had a friend/ acquaintance and knew they saw their kid that little, if they said she gets tax credits id point out that he doesn’t seem to do any parenting so she needs all the help she can get. I reiterate, b is a shit parent.
