I'm thinking of organising a surprise baby shower for a friend. AIBU to expect guests to pay to come, for example if we were to hire out a tea room and Do afternoon tea, I assume each guest will pay for themselves? I can't afford to foot the bill for 15 odd people, so I'm guessing guests usually pay their way. Do you collect deposits in advance? Tips/advice/ideas please as I've (quite clearly!) never organised one 🙂. I know she'll enjoy something low key, not a huge big fuss, with a maximum of 15-20 guests to keep it small. Thanks!
