To ask what you wish you had done before having children?

Me and DH are thinking of TTC next year, we are mid/late 20's and married. It got me thinking, are there things we should do or do more of before that stage of our lives. Is there anything you wish you had done or that you purposefully did before starting a family?

More travel. Definitely more travel! I had kids in my mid and late 30s so I don't regret much as I did a lot of the things I wanted to before they came along. But I wish DH and me had taken more holidays together. There was always something to stop us from splurging: buying a house, wedding saving, me losing my job. We have had some lovely hols but I wish we'd been more extravagant and gone somewhere really exotic. Tbf DD was a honeymoon baby so there wasn't really time to get a big holiday in! I do look at my kids every day though and would still take them over a 5 star luxury break. But not take them on the break Grin
