Frozen vegetables are the best thing since sliced bread

I was going to say 'the dog's bollocks' but then I felt that would be unappetising.

Seriously though, I LOVE them. I have a 5 mo and previous pattern of buying fresh vegetables just keep meaning we'd drag ourselves to the fridge, open it, stare bleakly in and then order a takeaway, and a week later throw away the soggy puddles of courgettes etc.

I've made chicken fajitas with sliced frozen peppers and onions, chilli and this evening made a very successful shepherds pie utilising a casserole mix. Tell me your frozen veg recipe discoveries? I need to continue converting she.

I always make sure I’ve a good selection in the freezer - saves so much time. I also love the frozen jacket potatoes - ideal for a quick meal - five minutes in the microwave and add loads of butter and cheese!

Look on Ocado for frozen organic tenderstem broccoli - such great value.

I don't like frozen veg much. The frozen peppers and onions are watery and not crispy with no taste. I tried many times to make fajita onions and peppers and it was no good.
Cauliflower and broccoli is vile. All 4 of us: me, Dh and ds's thought both were horrible.

We love frozen whole green beans, spinach (for curries), edamame, and Tesco mixed veg (peas, sweetcorn, carrot and green beans).

I don't mind the chopping, it's the food waste I really hate. Now we just steam (in the microwave) exactly how much we need and very little gets thrown away.

The frozen chorizo from Tesco is great. I’m aware it’s not a vegetable before anyone points it out but it’s a thing of beauty

Oh well if we're going for lovely non-veg related frozen things I will nominate the frozen pain au chocolats from Waitrose. 8 for £3.
