OK, it's doubtful Brexit is going to happen any time soon but definitely worth coming along and standing up for what we voted for.

Very little coverage in the media - unfortunately no full page spreads in the Standard for us....

It will be going on until early evening so still worth turning up if you can't get the day off work. Lots of great speakers including Julia Hartley Brewer, Claire Fox, Kate Hoey et al.

@Langrish we used to live in (technically) Mayfair many moons ago.

“(More worrying is that people have no idea what they voted for and why.)”

Did you not know, “BREXIT MEANS BREXIT”

Not clear enough for you? Honestly, some people! Grin

MaxNormal · 29/03/2019 20:55

That's some company you Brexiteers are keeping. Starting to feel like 1930s Germany.

bellinisurge · 29/03/2019 20:55

Can we call them ignorant twats yet?

IvanaPee · 29/03/2019 20:56

@SunnyinGrimsby do tell! Are you having the best fun ever with the company you’re keeping?!

People called me a snob because I said the type of people who showed up today would be the exact type of people who showed up today. 🙄🙄🙄

IceRebel · 29/03/2019 21:00

BREXIT MEANS BREXIT

I love this phrase it reminds me of homonyms

Right means Right
(except when right means turn right, or you're right)

Park means Park
(except when park means a playground, or to park a vehicle)

Rose means Rose
(except when rose is a flower, or they rose from the seat)

Lie means Lie
(except when lie means to lie down, or they told a lie Brexit)

So yeah Brexit means Brexit, except when you know it doesn't have a clear meaning at all. Grin

Here's a charming individual

Bornfreebutinchains · 29/03/2019 21:11

I can't help but feel that some poster's have been desperate for violence day.

Mrs Terry do you feel relieved now?

Far right thug's kicks off a bit?

Has it been violent enough for you or are people hoping for more....

Dothehappydance · 29/03/2019 21:15

Langrish

Thank you, it is now all clear as mud

IceRebel · 29/03/2019 21:17

I can't help but feel that some poster's have been desperate for violence day.

Ah so all it takes is for some people on MN to want comment something, and it magically makes people act that way?

In which case "can they Revoke article 50" Wink

MaxNormal · 29/03/2019 21:18

IceRebel everything is Remainers fault, don't you get it?

Dothehappydance · 29/03/2019 21:19

I did have to smile at the 'Ikea have better cabinets' placards on one of the pictures in the article.

More favourite phrases:

Can’t polish a turd
Put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig
(as David Cameron probably found out Grin)

TeddyIsaHe · 29/03/2019 21:26

Don’t need to be desperate for violence when leavers are involved - especially those linked with the EDL. It was just a matter of time.

No police involvement at the much, much larger march last week 🤷🏻‍♀️

Windowsareforcheaters · 29/03/2019 21:26

But that dead pig looks so sexy with lipstick on.

Or not.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 29/03/2019 21:27

I can't help but feel that some poster's have been desperate for violence day.

So tediously predictable. Both your post, and the fact that it did indeed kick off, I mean.

How do you feel, knowing that the whole world knows you voted the same way as these vile racist thugs?

IvanaPee · 29/03/2019 21:30

Has it been violent enough for you or are people hoping for more....

Sorry, are you somehow implying that the power of the collective minds of MNers forced people to turn into vile, racist, violent thugs?

Just to be clear - you said that people on here wanted violence, then asked if it was violent enough.

So...people posting on here made people at the march violent? Wow. I never knew we had it in us! Grin Grin Grin

Langrish · 29/03/2019 21:33

“So...people posting on here made people at the march violent? Wow. I never knew we had it in us! grin grin grin”

May the force be with us. Revoke, revoke, revoke.

IceRebel · 29/03/2019 21:34

So...people posting on here made people at the march violent? Wow. I never knew we had it in us!

I know we must be magical, now about revoking article 50... Or as MaxNormal said it's just another thing to blame remainers for.

IvanaPee · 29/03/2019 21:34

😂😂😂

PortiaCastis · 29/03/2019 21:36

I don't understand why we who went to a peaceful march (without violence or arrests or swearing at a female MP) last Saturday are responsible for the low life behaviour demonstrated today.

Caztonette · 29/03/2019 21:37

So telling that there was a split in the reaction of the crowd when May's deal was rejected again; some cheering its defeat, others shouting 'shame on you' at those who voted it down.

It isn't Remainers that's have frustrated Brexit, rather the separate Leave factions.

VallarMorghulis · 29/03/2019 21:41

Well said hillfarmer. It's good to have someone explain it so well, although sadly I don't think it'll change the OP's mindset.
