OK, it's doubtful Brexit is going to happen any time soon but definitely worth coming along and standing up for what we voted for.

Very little coverage in the media - unfortunately no full page spreads in the Standard for us....

It will be going on until early evening so still worth turning up if you can't get the day off work. Lots of great speakers including Julia Hartley Brewer, Claire Fox, Kate Hoey et al.

Rebel, that is an excellent point.

bellinisurge · 29/03/2019 18:36

I want to hear Leavers disowning Yaxley-Lennon and all his pals. It should be your first words before explaining why you still want this.

ContinuityError · 29/03/2019 19:49

Some interesting pipe and drum bands playing today Hmm

StoorieHoose · 29/03/2019 19:54

Flutes not pipes (stupid orange flute band were from Scotland though)

TheGhostOfBrexit · 29/03/2019 19:55

Trouble brewing between the police and knobhead Yaxley fans, not surprisingly, I hope they get arrested!

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 29/03/2019 19:58

Trouble brewing? This is utterly predictable and just the start of it.

ContinuityError · 29/03/2019 19:58

Sorry - should have said flute and drum (not pipe and drum). Only missing some nice coloured sashes.

IceRebel · 29/03/2019 20:00

Very immature and nerdy of me, but everytime I see / hear the name Yaxley I want to shout he's a death eater.

MadameAnchou · 29/03/2019 20:02

Wow, that was such a huge turnout, just like last week. Haahaaa!!

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 29/03/2019 20:03

Football Lads' Alliance at Downing Street, police in riot gear with dogs.

Bit of a change from last Saturday eh? But of course, we have to respect the vote of thugs and knuckle-draggers, don't we?

EerieSilence · 29/03/2019 20:03

Will not happen. He only loudly says what they quietly think but they are afraid to speak out because they fear people would recognise them for what they are instead of being decent people.
Farage, Yaxley-Lennon, Boris Johnson, Michael Gove, Rees-Mogg, Tim zero contracts Martin ....
Show me any decent leader among them please. Just one that isn't a hypocritical piece of crap, feeling above others (especially after they made sure their money is secure in the EU). Because those above will gladly walk over your sleeping bags on the street and consider you collateral damage to their personal dreams of their fortune.

longwayoff · 29/03/2019 20:04

Horrified to see the band on a London Street.

Alsohuman · 29/03/2019 20:04

And they wonder why people say they’re stupid.

IvanaPee · 29/03/2019 20:05

Where are folk seeing this? Not on sky/bbc news?

BondiandBabe · 29/03/2019 20:07

So protesters have turned on a TV crew, and are wearing masks, and swearing at the police. Hhhmm. I can't imagine why people think Brexiters are the lowest common denominator at all. Far more people at the People's Vote rally and can get it remained friendly and safe.

Maldives2006 · 29/03/2019 20:14

All I’ve heard is Brexit voters insulting remain voters, when all I would like to hear from people who voted for Brexit is a plan!!

FaFoutis · 29/03/2019 20:20

The channel 4 news presenter said media were being treated with hostility, and that was earlier in the 'rally'. There was 'a dark underside' to it (or something along those lines) she said.
Channel 4 seemed to be the only ones with a crew in among them.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 29/03/2019 20:23

For once, as a local, I’m happy.

3 crazies and a dog won’t be buggering up traffic around Westminster for a change.

I have heard that the vegans are on the march tomorrow though (more concerned about violence from them tbh).

EerieSilence · 29/03/2019 20:23

TBH, if we didn't know better, we'd believe we are watching some kind of a reality show.
"How to lose your face and dignity in 3 years."
Dancing at your own wake.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 29/03/2019 20:26

Did someone say the football granddads lad are out? Those idiots generally congregate at the pub near us and cause aggro before police escort them away. They really are old enough to know better and look nasty.

IvanaPee · 29/03/2019 20:27

What march is tomorrow?

I see Jon Snow of C4 is copping some flack. “I’ve never seen so many white people in one place.”

Awkward.

Langrish · 29/03/2019 20:31

FaFoutis: striking, and worrying, echoes of Trump’s support network. Disagree with them, fake news. Yeah, right.

Bloody scary.

Langrish · 29/03/2019 20:36

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPHD

As a random aside, I am very jealous that you are a local.
We were in SE1 many moons ago. When superiors at work asked where we lived, I used to reply, in a juvenile, ladder climbing effort to impress, oh, just off Westminster Bridge Road. We were in The Elephant 😂

Dothehappydance · 29/03/2019 20:49

Maldives They don't need a plan, all they need is 'Leave means Leave', it doesn't matter that there is no plan, we just need to crash out because they were promised that we would leave today.

The whole process could and should have been better, but seriously that is just throwing the baby out with the bath water. If we are going to have to leave, lets do it the best way possible.

(More worrying is that people have no idea what they voted for and why.)
